Med Gas is required to comply with NFPA 99 Chapter 9. However due to the inexperience dealing with med gas the Fire Marshal's office will require Technical Assistance as required by NFPA 1 Chapter 1.15. This third party reviewer shall provide: - Evaluation and shall recommend necessary changes - The plans shall bear the seal of the third party professional engineer. The third party inspector (may be the same as the reviewer) shall provide: - Written documentation to the Fire Marshal that the inspection was conducted and that the system being inspected was installed per the plans and meets the requirements of the code, - or such documentation stating that the system does not meet the requirements of the code and corrective action is needed.(Additional inspection may be required until the inspector can approved the system as installed).
